The Petroleum Division has issued a notification announcing the revised prices of petroleum products.
According to the notification, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) recommended changes in petroleum prices under the pricing mechanism set by the federal government. The recommendations were approved, leading to the announcement of the new prices.
The price of high-speed diesel has been increased by Rs6.72 per litre, taking it from Rs385.95 to Rs392.67 per litre.
Meanwhile, the price of petrol has gone up by Rs3.40 per litre, rising from Rs364.35 to Rs367.75 per litre.
The revised prices will come into effect from September 10, 2026.
The latest increase comes after the government raised petroleum prices just two days earlier. Following that increase, petrol was priced at Rs364.35 per litre, while high-speed diesel was set at Rs385.95 per litre.
The repeated increases are expected to add further pressure to transportation and other costs, with their impact likely to be felt across the economy.
