According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold increased to Rs465,236 per tola in local markets, following a rise in international bullion prices.
The price of 10 grams of gold also increased by Rs9,602, reaching Rs398,864. Silver prices also recorded an increase, with the price of silver rising by Rs185 per tola to Rs7,440.
In the international bullion market, the price of gold rose by $112 per ounce on Thursday, reaching $4,427 per ounce.
The latest increase comes after gold prices had declined for five consecutive days in the local market. During that period, the price of gold per tola had fallen by Rs28,800, while the price of 10 grams had decreased by Rs24,777.
The latest rise has reversed part of the recent decline, with both local and international markets responding to movements in global gold prices.
