The child, who is from Jhelum, had completely lost his hand after it was cut off in a machete attack. A medical team led by Dr. Tayyab and Dr. Ambreen performed the surgery to reattach the hand.
Doctors said they used microvascular surgery to repair the blood vessels and veins and restore blood circulation to the severed hand.
Following the successful operation, blood flow to the reattached hand was restored. Doctors said reattaching a severed hand in young children is a highly complex procedure.
