According to details, the incident occurred on August 26. A traffic police spokesperson said the young man, identified as Zain, was not wearing a helmet when Traffic Warden Sultan signalled him to stop.
According to the spokesperson, the motorcyclist attempted to move ahead instead of stopping, resulting in an accident that left both Zain and the traffic warden injured.
Zain was immediately shifted to a hospital, where he remained under treatment for five days. However, he succumbed to his injuries today.
Following the incident, a case was registered against the motorcyclist on the complaint of the traffic official. Chief Traffic Officer Lahore Abdul Raheem Shirazi took notice of the incident and ordered the SP Saddar to conduct an inquiry.
The inquiry will examine the circumstances of the accident, the manner in which the traffic warden attempted to stop the motorcyclist and other relevant aspects of the incident.
