The visiting dignitary was presented with a Guard of Honour by a tri-services contingent upon his arrival at GHQ.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed matters of mutual interest, the regional security environment and opportunities to enhance bilateral defence and security cooperation.

Both sides expressed satisfaction with the longstanding cordial relations between Pakistan and the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Pakistan and the Democratic Republic of Congo also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at broadening and strengthening defence and security cooperation between the two countries.

Earlier, Lieutenant General Banza Mwilambwe Jules met Admiral Naveed Ashraf, Chief of the Naval Staff, and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, Chief of the Air Staff.

The visiting defence chief praised the professionalism and operational capabilities of Pakistan’s armed forces and their commitment to maintaining peace and stability in the region.

He also acknowledged the significant progress made by Pakistan in defence indigenisation and self-reliance.
