The case was registered under Section 11-W of Pakistan’s Anti-Terrorism Act, 1997, on the police’s complaint. According to the FIR, the gathering was held in Madina Town, Faisalabad, from 9 p.m. to midnight without obtaining permission from the local administration.
The FIR alleged that a promotional banner displayed at the gathering carried Rizvi’s image and claimed that the organizer’s actions indicated an affiliation with the banned organization. It also stated that the banner had been prepared by a printer identified as Shabab, who was accused of promoting the proscribed organization.
According to the FIR, the government has declared TLP a proscribed organization, meaning it is prohibited from holding gatherings or carrying out promotional activities.
Inspector Shaukat Ali, the investigating officer, said the organizer had been taken into custody following registration of the case. Police also seized the promotional banner and made it part of the case record.
