In a statement posted on X, Hafiz Naeem said attempts by those in power to govern through governor’s rule and emergency measures indicated that their government was nearing its end.
He said the anti-democratic course pursued by Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) parties since the regime change had continued to this day.
The Jamaat-e-Islami chief also criticised the political record of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), saying their history was marked by the imposition of governor’s rule and a refusal to accept electoral mandates.
Hafiz Naeem further claimed that the system imposed through Form 47 had completely failed.
