According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, rain is expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Islamabad, upper Punjab, Gilgit-Baltistan, Kashmir and adjoining hilly areas during the night and September 2. Some areas may receive heavy rainfall.
Most districts of Punjab are expected to remain hot and humid. However, rain with strong winds and thunderstorms is likely in Murree, Galiyat, Rawalpindi, Jhelum, Chakwal, Attock, Narowal, Sialkot, Lahore, Gujranwala, Gujrat and surrounding areas.
Islamabad and nearby areas are expected to remain partly cloudy, with strong winds and thunderstorms and chances of heavy rain at some locations.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, rain is expected in Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Battagram, Buner, Nowshera, Peshawar, Swabi, Mardan, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Haripur, Malakand, Mohmand, Khyber, Bajaur, Kohat, Parachinar and adjoining areas.
The Meteorological Department has warned of a risk of landslides in Dir, Swat, Kohistan, Battagram, Buner, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Murree, Galiyat, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir due to heavy rainfall.
Urban flooding and water accumulation are also possible in low-lying areas of Mardan, Swabi, Peshawar, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Gujrat.
Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are also expected to experience partly cloudy weather, with rain accompanied by strong winds and thunderstorms at some places and heavy rainfall at isolated locations.
Meanwhile, most districts of Sindh and Balochistan are expected to remain hot and humid. Coastal areas may experience partly cloudy conditions.
