According to Express News, the district administration has allowed Jamaat-e-Islami to hold its rally at Liaquat Bagh. Following the decision, the administration also unlocked the gates of the park.
Jamaat-e-Islami workers have started preparations for the rally at the venue. Chairs, sound systems, lights and other equipment have been brought into Liaquat Bagh.
The development came after negotiations between the party and the district administration over arrangements for the gathering.
Earlier, Jamaat-e-Islami had announced that it would stage a sit-in on Murree Road if it was not allowed to hold the rally inside Liaquat Bagh.
With permission now granted, the party has shifted its preparations to the designated venue and begun arrangements for the event.
