The 45-minute online session allowed citizens to submit their complaints and concerns through Facebook. The DIG Operations personally contacted several citizens by phone, heard their issues and directed the relevant officers to resolve their complaints on a priority basis.

The DIG Operations also instructed officers to provide feedback to citizens about the progress of their complaints. He said an effective follow-up mechanism was being developed to ensure that complaints are not only registered but also properly resolved.

The DIG Operations urged citizens to help police identify social and community-related problems.

He said action would be taken against illegal activities operating under the cover of massage centres and warned citizens to remain cautious about fraudulent housing societies.

He also advised citizens to verify the approval of a housing society from the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) before purchasing a plot or property and to ensure that all transactions are covered by a written agreement.
