According to sources, the officer, identified as Aftab, allegedly received Rs120 million from Afghan nationals for restoring their cancelled identity cards.
After his arrest, the FIA raided his residence and recovered Rs1.9 million in cash, sources said.
FIA sources further alleged that the officer used the remaining money received as bribes to purchase assets. He was also reportedly involved in purchasing plots in Havelian and Islamabad’s G-15 sector.
Officials have obtained documents related to a plot in G-15, according to FIA sources. Further investigation into the case is underway.
