According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the meeting covered matters of mutual interest, the regional security situation and opportunities to expand security cooperation between Pakistan and Russia.
Both sides also stressed the importance of improving coordination and communication between the security institutions of the two countries.
Field Marshal Asim Munir reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to further strengthening its longstanding relations with Russia, particularly in the security sector, the ISPR said.
Kolokoltsev appreciated Pakistan’s efforts to promote regional peace and stability and acknowledged the professional capabilities and sacrifices of the Pakistan Armed Forces in the fight against terrorism.
