Addressing a passing-out ceremony at the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) in Kakul on Saturday, he said Pakistan’s role in restoring regional stability, demonstrated by the Islamabad Accord, reflected its commitment to peace and diplomatic de-escalation.

The ceremony marked the completion of training by cadets from the 154th Pakistan Military Academy Long Course, 39th Technical Graduate Course, 73rd Integrated Course and 28th Lady Cadet Course.

At the start of his address, General Raza congratulated the graduating cadets and their parents, describing the occasion as a milestone in the lives of the graduates.

He warned that Pakistan would not tolerate cross-border aggression or violations of its sovereignty.

“Safeguarding the territorial integrity of our motherland is absolute and unyielding,” he said.

General Raza said the rapid development of disruptive technologies had fundamentally changed modern warfare and challenged traditional military doctrines.

He added that the Pakistan Armed Forces had undertaken a rapid transformation across multiple domains to strengthen their operational capabilities in response to these changes.

The commander warned that any attempt to violate Pakistan’s borders would face a firm response.

“There is no space for conflict or war in a nuclearised environment, and any miscalculation will be met with a response far beyond the imagination or calculation of the initiator,” he said.

He reaffirmed that the armed forces were prepared to defend every inch of Pakistan’s territory.

General Raza also accused the country’s adversaries of using disinformation and information warfare to create divisions between the armed forces and the public.

Referring to the May 2025 conflict between Pakistan and India, he said that after the failure of what he described as “Operation Sindoor”, hostile elements were seeking to undermine Pakistan’s social cohesion and state institutions through proxy terrorism and other forms of unconventional warfare.

He said hostile actors were attempting to exploit internal vulnerabilities to create proxies against Pakistan’s national unity, adding that these efforts directly threatened the security of the Pakistani people.

General Raza reiterated that Pakistan remained committed to peace, restraint, dialogue and regional stability, noting that the country and its defenders had made significant sacrifices in pursuit of these goals.

However, he cautioned against interpreting Pakistan’s commitment to peace as weakness.

“We will neither tolerate cross-border aggression nor any violation of our sovereign borders,” he said.
