The agreement was signed in Riyadh between Saudi Arabia’s National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) and Pakistan’s Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication.
Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja and NCA Governor Engineer Majid Al-Mazyad signed the MoU on behalf of their respective sides.
Under the agreement, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia will enhance cooperation to protect cyberspace and the critical interests of both countries. The two sides will also exchange expertise and experience to address emerging cybersecurity threats.
The agreement is aimed at strengthening coordination between the two countries in dealing with cybersecurity challenges and improving their ability to respond to evolving cyber risks.
Separately, Shaza Fatima Khawaja met Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) Secretary-General Deemah Al Yahya on the sidelines of the ongoing LEAP 2026 technology conference in Riyadh.
The meeting focused on further promoting and strengthening cooperation between Pakistan and the DCO in the digital sector.
