PTI leader and former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser said he met Fazlur Rehman on Thursday, during which they discussed the possibility of holding an All-Parties Conference (APC).
Qaiser, however, said neither the government nor Fazlur Rehman had contacted the PTI to initiate talks.
PTI leader Akhunzada Hussain Yousafzai also said there had been no contact from the government or Fazlur Rehman regarding negotiations.
He said the PTI had not convened any meeting to discuss talks. Yousafzai added that Barrister Gohar was in Charsadda, while the party's central leadership was participating in the long march.
Another PTI leader, Junaid Akbar, said he was unaware of any Zoom meeting being convened by the party to discuss negotiations.
