According to sources, several players are likely to be summoned to the PCB in the coming days, where they may be asked to explain their performances during the tours and other important matters.

Sources said a detailed inquiry will be conducted into opener Imam ul Haq’s injury, while senior doctors are also likely to be included in the investigation committee looking into his fitness.

The inquiry committee will review all matters related to Imam ul Haq’s injury and fitness. A decision about his future will be taken in light of the committee’s report.

According to sources, if Imam ul Haq is found responsible for any wrongdoing during the inquiry, he could also face a ban.

Meanwhile, wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan’s conduct during the tours will also be reviewed. Sources said a proposal has emerged to keep Rizwan out of consideration for all formats of cricket for the time being.

The PCB is continuing its overall review of the national team’s performance during the West Indies and England tours, along with matters involving players and administrative issues.
