In local markets, the price of gold per tola surged by PKR 6,500, reaching an all time high of PKR 521,162. Similarly, 10 grams of gold saw an increase of PKR 5,573, bringing its price to PKR 446,812. On the international front, gold gained $65 per ounce, pushing its value to $4,988.
Silver prices also experienced a notable rise. In the local market, silver per tola increased by PKR 526 to PKR 10,801, while 10 grams went up by PKR 451, reaching PKR 9,260. Globally, silver per ounce was recorded at $103.26.
Traders attribute the continuous climb in precious metal prices to ongoing fluctuations in the US dollar and the prevailing financial uncertainty worldwide. Market analysts warn that this trend may persist as investors continue to seek safe-haven assets in turbulent economic times.
