The steady rise shows that investors are once again turning to safe-haven assets amid uncertain economic signals.
This global upswing quickly spilled over into the local market. The price of gold per tola jumped by Rs900, pushing it to an unprecedented Rs481,862, the highest level ever recorded in the country’s history.
At the same time, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs771 to Rs413,118.Market watchers noted that the rally has been building momentum. Just a day earlier, on Friday, gold had already posted a sharp rise of Rs3,400 per tola, closing at Rs469,562, setting the stage for the latest breakout.
Silver also followed the upward trend. The price of silver per tola rose by Rs180, crossing a key psychological mark for the first time and reaching Rs9,075. This milestone reflects growing interest in precious metals beyond gold.
Traders say the current price movement highlights a strong bullish mood in the metals market, where gold and silver are increasingly seen as stores of value in times of financial stress. As global trends continue to influence local prices, investors remain alert, watching closely for the next market signal.
