On Monday, traders across major bullion markets reported a substantial rise in gold valuations. The price of one tola of gold surged by Rs. 3,400, pushing it to a new peak of Rs. 539,962 a figure that underscores mounting investor appetite for precious metals amid ongoing economic uncertainties.

The trend was echoed in the metric system as well. A 10 gram measure of gold saw an increase of Rs. 2,915, bringing its price to Rs. 462,930 in local markets.

Meanwhile, the global gold benchmark continued its upward trajectory, with international prices climbing by $35 per ounce. As of the latest trading session, gold was being quoted at $5,172 per ounce, underscoring robust global demand and tightening supply dynamics.

In a parallel move, silver prices also posted gains. Local dealers recorded a rise of Rs. 192 per tola, taking the price of silver to Rs. 9,286.

Market analysts suggest that the climbing trajectory of precious metal prices reflects heightened risk aversion among investors, coupled with geopolitical tensions and currency volatility. As gold and silver are traditionally seen as safe‑haven assets, their appeal has grown stronger in recent weeks.

With prices continuing to set fresh milestones, consumers and investors alike are keeping a close watch on bullion markets anticipating further shifts that may influence buying and selling behavior in the days ahead.
