According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association, the price of gold increased by a massive Rs 9,100 per tola, taking the new rate to Rs 514,000 per tola. This steep jump reflects growing uncertainty in both local and global markets.

Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold rose by Rs 7,802, reaching Rs 441,239, making gold even more out of reach for ordinary buyers.

The surge is closely linked to the international market, where gold prices climbed by $91 per ounce, reaching $4,923 per ounce. Market experts say global economic pressure, currency instability, and safe-haven demand are driving prices upward.

Jewellers report that while prices are soaring, buying activity remains slow, as customers wait for stability. However, investors continue to see gold as a secure option in uncertain times.

With prices breaking records almost daily, many are now wondering how long this upward trend will last or whether even higher levels are yet to come.
