The price of gold in the global bullion market fell by $7 per ounce, settling at $4,746 per ounce. This dip in international rates quickly translated into the domestic market, where investor sentiment remained closely tied to global cues.

As a result, the price of gold in the local market dropped by Rs 700 per tola, bringing it down to Rs 496,962 per tola. Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold also declined by Rs 600, reaching Rs 426,064.

Market observers noted that this follows a sharp rise in the previous session, when gold had surged by Rs 3,000 per tola on Friday to reach Rs 497,662, highlighting the continued volatility in precious metals trading.

Meanwhile, silver moved in the opposite direction, adding a touch of brightness to an otherwise subdued market. The price of silver rose by Rs 50 per tola, reaching Rs 8,064, as investors showed renewed interest in the white metal.

Analysts say the current fluctuations reflect a broader global uncertainty, where precious metals continue to respond sharply to shifts in demand, currency strength, and international economic signals.

In short, the market remains restless gold is easing, silver is shining, and investors are watching closely for the next move.
