In the global bullion market, gold dropped sharply by $40, settling at $4,285 per ounce. This downward trend overseas quickly spilled into the local market, pulling prices lower at home.

As a result, the price of gold per tola fell by Rs4,000, reaching Rs450,862. Likewise, the price of 10 grams of gold declined by Rs3,429, closing at Rs386,541.

Just a day earlier on Monday, gold had moved in the opposite direction, climbing Rs2,600 per tola to stand at Rs454,862, highlighting how quickly the market mood can change.

Meanwhile, silver showed stability, with the price per tola remaining unchanged at Rs6,532, offering a calm contrast to gold’s fluctuating path.

Market observers say the latest dip reflects shifting global trends and cautious investor sentiment, reminding traders that precious metal prices can turn overnight—sometimes quietly, sometimes all at once.
