During the visit, he held meetings with local leadership, including Party Secretary Wang Jinjian and Mayor Zheng Haitao, where both sides discussed expanding business-to-business (B2B) linkages and enhancing collaboration under the Punjab–Jiangsu sister-province framework.
The ambassador also visited FAMSUN, an agriculture technology company based in Yangzhou, and engaged with representatives from leading agricultural firms. Discussions focused on modernising agriculture, improving agro-processing systems, and expanding capacity-building initiatives.
Both sides explored opportunities to organise investment roadshows, facilitate enterprise exchange visits, and increase cooperation in sectors such as renewable energy, information technology, advanced materials, and construction.
According to the discussions, Chinese companies were encouraged to explore opportunities in precision agriculture, cold-chain logistics, digital farming, and dairy production in Pakistan, while Pakistani officials expressed interest in adopting advanced agricultural technologies.
The ambassador also invited Yangzhou-based firms to participate in an upcoming B2B investment conference on information technology and telecommunications scheduled in Hangzhou next month.
Yangzhou, a major industrial and agricultural hub in Jiangsu province with a population of around five million, has been identified as a potential partner city for deepening economic and technological cooperation under broader China-Pakistan economic engagement efforts.
