According to a PIA spokesperson, the first direct flight from Lahore to London, PK 757, will take off on March 30. All PIA flights to London will land at Heathrow Airport’s Terminal 4, ensuring smooth access to one of the world’s busiest aviation hubs.
The airline also confirmed that flights to London will be increased gradually, allowing operations to expand in a steady and well managed manner. Once the plan is fully rolled out, PIA will be operating seven weekly flights to London.
Before restrictions were imposed on European operations, PIA used to run ten weekly flights from Pakistan to London.
The renewed service is therefore seen as a strong comeback and a positive sign of recovery for the airline’s international network.Earlier, PIA had already announced the resumption of flights from Islamabad to London, with three weekly flights set to begin operations on March 29.
Officials believe that restoring flights from both Lahore and Islamabad will bring much-needed relief to the Pakistani diaspora in the UK, while also strengthening PIA’s global footprint. London has long been a key destination for the airline, and its revival reflects renewed confidence in PIA’s international operations.
The move is being welcomed as a fresh start, signaling improved connectivity, better travel options, and a renewed presence of Pakistan’s national airline on major global routes.
