According to an official notification issued by the provincial Home Department, shops, markets, and shopping malls located outside divisional headquarters must close by 8:00 PM daily, including weekends. In divisional headquarters, businesses will be allowed to remain open until 9:00 PM.

The decision follows recent federal directives to shut markets at 8:00 PM nationwide, although Sindh has adopted a slightly adjusted framework.

Essential services have been exempted from the new restrictions. These include standalone tandoors, bakeries, milk and dairy shops, medical stores, pharmacies, clinics, hospitals, laboratories, and petrol stations, all of which will continue operating without time limitations.

Restaurants, hotels, and other food outlets will be permitted to serve customers from 7:00 PM to 11:30 PM. However, takeaway and home delivery services will remain fully operational without restrictions. Wedding halls and banquet facilities have been directed to close by midnight.

Authorities have instructed commissioners and deputy commissioners, in coordination with Sindh Police, to ensure strict implementation of the new timings across the province.
