According to the Petroleum Division, the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has been increased by Rs3.47 per litre, taking its new ex-depot price to Rs424.92 per litre.

Meanwhile, the price of petrol has been reduced by 43 paisa per litre, bringing its new ex-depot price to Rs390.79 per litre.

The Petroleum Division said the latest revision was made after taking into account changes in international oil prices, Platts rates, premiums and other relevant costs.

Under the government’s petroleum pricing mechanism, fuel prices are reviewed based on international market conditions and other relevant factors.

The revised ex-depot prices will remain effective from September 18, 2026.

Under the new rates, petrol has seen a marginal decrease, while High-Speed Diesel has become significantly more expensive.
