In its detailed judgment, the Islamabad High Court said any activity that affects the fundamental rights of citizens would amount to a violation of the Constitution. It said those responsible for violating the fundamental rights of Islamabad residents would face action in accordance with the law.
The court observed that political parties cannot legally block roads and highways and directed provincial governments not to use public funds or state resources for the proposed march in Islamabad.
The judgment also imposed a ban on the use of government vehicles and machinery to facilitate the long march.
The Islamabad High Court further directed that an immediate helpline be established for government employees who receive unlawful orders.
According to the court, action would be taken against those who violate judicial orders or interfere with the fundamental rights of citizens.
The court said any public office holder who violates the Constitution or law would be considered to have acted in breach of their oath. It added that if the fundamental rights of citizens are affected because of the actions of a government official, it would constitute a violation of the official's oath.
The court further stated that government officials responsible for violating the Constitution and law would have to face the consequences under the law.
