The four day meeting brought together representatives of more than 40 civil society organizations from over 16 countries.
The Alkhidmat delegation included General Manager International Affairs Ahmad Toor and the foundation’s representative in Türkiye, Umar Farooq.
Speaking at the meeting, Syed Ihsanullah Waqas said discussions focused on humanitarian, social and economic challenges facing the Muslim world, including ongoing humanitarian crises in Palestine and other regions.
He stressed the need for greater cooperation among civil society organizations, exchange of experiences and joint humanitarian initiatives to address growing humanitarian needs.
The meeting also reviewed UNIW’s previous activities and discussed its future policies and strategic priorities.
An international conference titled “Geopolitics and Global Changes in the Muslim World” was also held at Universiti Putra Malaysia, focusing on changing global dynamics and their impact on the Muslim world.
Waqas said Alkhidmat’s participation aimed to strengthen partnerships with international humanitarian organizations, learn from global experiences and explore opportunities for joint welfare initiatives.
The delegation also held meetings with representatives from different countries and partner organizations in Malaysia to discuss areas of mutual interest and potential joint welfare projects.
According to Alkhidmat, UNIW has a global network of 401 organizations from 66 countries and provides a platform for organizations working in humanitarian assistance, education, human rights, family welfare, and social and economic development.
