Meanwhile, an IT lab has also been inaugurated in Loralai under Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan’s nationwide Bano Qabil programme, which aims to equip young people with modern digital and technical skills. The IT lab was inaugurated by Jamaat-e-Islami Balochistan Emir and provincial assembly member Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman Baloch at the Jamaat-e-Islami Centre in Loralai.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Jamaat-e-Islami Loralai Emir Abdul Hameed Nasir, Alkhidmat Foundation Balochistan Secretary General Muhammad Usman Khan Kakar, Bano Qabil Balochistan Director Muhammad Tayyab Jadoon, provincial deputy general secretary Nooruddin Ghalezai, former district emir Haji Abdul Bari Nasir, General Secretary Muhammad Naeem Kakar, Professor Abdul Rehman Musa Khel, district deputy emir Muhammad Azim Khuroti, Zahid Qayyum Utman Khel, Free Panel Commander Shah Muhammad Zakhpeel, Elementary College Principal Professor Aziz Khan, senior teacher Khair Muhammad Tareen, tribal leader Malik Nazar Muhammad Nasir, media representatives and other regional, tribal and political figures.
Addressing the ceremony, Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman Baloch said the scope of the Bano Qabil programme had now been expanded to Loralai. He said talented young people in the new campus would be provided free modern courses to help them become financially independent.
He said the youth of Balochistan were talented, hardworking and patriotic, but poverty, unemployment, insecurity and corruption had pushed many of them towards disappointment. He said Jamaat-e-Islami wanted to address the problems of illiteracy, poverty and unemployment among young people.
Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman said the Bano Qabil programme would prove to be a game changer for young people in Loralai and surrounding areas. Under the programme, youth would be provided free training in freelancing, graphic designing, web development and other modern digital skills, which normally require thousands of rupees in fees.
He said the basic objective of the programme was to enable young people to earn respectable livelihoods from home or through the internet after completing their education instead of remaining dependent solely on traditional employment opportunities.
He said when young people from underdeveloped areas became equipped with modern technology and started working in the global market, it would strengthen not only their families but also the economy of their communities and the country.
Maulana Hidayat ur Rehman said the programme focused on education, skills and character building, providing young people with technical abilities as well as moral and social training so they could become useful and responsible members of society.
He said Jamaat-e-Islami, through the platform of Alkhidmat Foundation, had initiated efforts for a brighter future for the youth of Balochistan and wanted to ensure that students and young people from every area could benefit from the programme.
He noted that the launch of Bano Qabil programmes in Jaffarabad, Naseerabad, Gwadar and now Loralai was part of the same effort. He said the objective was to build a skilled, educated and progressive Balochistan and called for collective efforts to empower the province’s students and youth.
Other speakers at the ceremony also addressed the gathering and described the Bano Qabil programme as an important and positive initiative for the youth of Balochistan.
