In a message marking Pakistan’s Independence Day, Pezeshkian said the occasion was a valuable opportunity to pay tribute to the achievements of the Pakistani nation.
He described Pakistan’s Independence Day as a new turning point for further deepening and expanding the longstanding and strategic relations between Iran and Pakistan.
The Iranian president reaffirmed Tehran’s commitment to strengthening comprehensive ties with Pakistan, saying Iran is ready to take more effective steps to expand bilateral relations by building on mutual trust, respect and the two countries’ existing potential.
Pezeshkian said the need for greater coordination and cooperation between Iran and Pakistan has become more important than ever, emphasizing that the shared interests and destinies of the two neighboring countries are increasingly intertwined.
He also expressed his wishes for Pakistan’s development, prosperity and progress, and prayed for the continued strengthening and consolidation of the longstanding and brotherly relations between Iran and Pakistan.
