The decision was taken during a Sindh Cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah. According to the Cabinet’s decision, the judicial commission will now have until October 15 to complete its investigation and submit the report to the provincial government.

The Cabinet was also briefed on the progress made by the commission so far. Officials said the commission has conducted extensive proceedings in connection with the case and recorded statements from several relevant individuals and witnesses.

According to officials, statements from dozens of witnesses have already been recorded, while the commission is continuing to examine different aspects of the case.

The extension was granted to allow the commission to complete the remaining stages of the investigation and prepare its findings and recommendations after reviewing the available evidence and statements.

A spokesperson for the Sindh chief minister said the judicial commission had requested additional time to complete the investigation, examine all relevant matters and prepare its final recommendations. The Sindh Cabinet approved the request.

Sources said the commission had sought an extension until October 15 to complete the recording of witnesses’ statements and finalise its investigative report.

Following the Cabinet’s approval, the commission will complete its remaining proceedings within the extended period and submit its report to the Sindh government.
