In a statement posted on X, Sohail Afridi said he would also visit the home of PTI worker Ishtiaq Ahmed, who died after allegedly suffering injuries during what the chief minister described as police violence in Lahore.
Afridi alleged that the government imposed in Punjab and its handlers were subjecting PTI workers to oppression, saying the situation was shameful for Muslims.
He claimed that during preparations for Eid Milad un Nabi in Lahore, senior PTI worker Ishtiaq Ahmed was allegedly pushed into a cauldron of hot oil during raids and arrests targeting PTI workers. He said Ahmed suffered severe burns and died today.
The KP chief minister said he would visit the residence of Ishtiaq Ahmed in Lahore tomorrow to offer condolences to his family and announce the next course of action for the Punjab Street Movement.
