The Gemini for Students page is now available in Pakistan, while Google’s new study notebooks are being rolled out to personal accounts globally. However, students in Pakistan are not currently eligible for Google’s one-year free premium AI student offer.

Gemini Introduces Personalized Study Tools

Gemini can help students understand difficult subjects by providing step-by-step explanations based on their own study materials.

Students can upload lecture notes, presentation slides, syllabi, reading materials and other documents. Gemini can use this information to generate personalized learning resources based on the material.

Google’s new study notebooks provide a dedicated space for students to organize this process. Students can begin with a diagnostic quiz designed to identify topics where they need additional practice.

Based on the results, Gemini can create smaller, personalized lessons. As students complete more quizzes and add new study material, the lessons can adjust to reflect their progress.

The study notebooks also work with NotebookLM, allowing students to turn their learning materials into resources such as flashcards, infographics and other study aids.

Support for Exams, Assignments and Research

Gemini can help students convert their notes and course materials into study guides and practice quizzes.

The AI can also explain difficult concepts, answer questions using uploaded materials, and assist with writing, brainstorming, outlining and proofreading.

For research projects, Gemini’s research features can help students find and organize information. Google Search can also provide supporting sources and citations.

Students can additionally use Gemini to prepare presentations and improve written assignments.

Gemini Adds Career Support

Google is also positioning Gemini as a tool to help students prepare for the job market.

Students can use the AI to review and improve their CVs, generate practice interview questions based on specific job descriptions, and explore potential career paths based on their skills and experience.

Gemini’s image-generation and editing tools can also help students create or improve professional images and headshots.

For Pakistani students, the expanded Gemini tools could provide another AI-based option for studying, academic research and career preparation, although access to Google’s one-year free premium student offer remains unavailable in Pakistan for now.
