Chasing a target of 326, Pakistan reached 329-7 in 48.3 overs, winning the final with nine balls to spare and lifting the trophy in front of their home crowd.

Pakistan suffered an early setback as Sri Lankan fast bowler Dilshan Madushanka struck twice in his opening two overs, dismissing Maaz Sadaqat for five and Babar Azam for a duck. The hosts were left struggling at 14-2.

However, Fakhar Zaman and Saad Baig steadied the innings with a 149-run partnership for the third wicket. Baig scored 74 off 75 balls, hitting 11 boundaries, before Maheesh Theekshana dismissed him in the 27th over.

Madushanka eventually dismissed Fakhar in the 34th over. The opener scored 127 off 99 deliveries, including 11 fours and six sixes, giving Pakistan a strong platform in their pursuit of the target.

Salman Ali Agha departed two overs later for 17, leaving Pakistan at 230-5 after 36.5 overs.

With the match entering a decisive stage, Hasan Nawaz and Arafat Minhas produced a crucial 94-run partnership to bring Pakistan closer to victory.

Fernando struck again in the same over, removing Faheem Ashraf for a golden duck and reducing Pakistan to 324-7.

Captain Shaheen Shah Afridi then finished the chase in style, hitting Madushanka for a six over square leg on the third delivery of the penultimate over to secure Pakistan's victory.
