Speaking to the media at the Punjab Bar Council, Rimsha Iqbal said that two days ago, a vehicle carrying unidentified individuals was sent outside Momina Iqbal’s in-laws’ residence. However, the individuals fled after government security personnel became alert.
She stated that suspicious individuals also appeared outside her own home last night and issued threats. Following the incident, an application was submitted to the Chuhng Police Station.
Rimsha Iqbal said that baseless and false allegations are being made against both her and Momina Iqbal, and that false complaints are being filed at various locations. Despite this, she said she would courageously face all cases involving her sister.
Meanwhile, the Disciplinary Committee of the Punjab Bar Council heard a petition seeking the suspension of the licenses of Mian Ali Ashfaq, counsel for Saqib Chadhar, and Rimsha Iqbal.
During the hearing, presided over by Chairman Abbas Ali Chadhar, the committee directed the lawyers representing Momina Iqbal and Saqib Chadhar not to discuss the case in the media.
During the proceedings, questions were raised regarding Mian Ali Ashfaq’s Bar-at-Law degree, and he was instructed to produce the qualification. Rimsha Iqbal was also asked to clarify matters relating to her employment and legal practice in Australia.
Rimsha Iqbal maintained that the allegations against her were baseless and stated that if any claims were being made regarding her employment, supporting evidence should be presented.
Chairman Abbas Ali Chadhar remarked that a dispute between two private individuals had been turned into an issue of personal ego by certain lawyers.
