Adolescence, directed by Philip Barantini, secured two major awards for fiction direction and fiction sound. The series has been widely praised for its intense storytelling and the technical precision that helped create an immersive and realistic viewing experience.
Meanwhile, Celebrity Traitors also claimed two honours, winning in the entertainment craft team and factual sound categories. The show’s production team was recognised for its ability to build suspense and maintain strong audience engagement through sound design and overall production quality.
Among other notable winners, A Thousand Blows saw Maja Meschede take home the award for costume design, while Amadeus was recognised for excellence in hair and make-up.
In music categories, Jessica Dannheisser won for original score in The Last Musician of Auschwitz, and Tom Rowlands was honoured for his work on Mussolini: Son of the Century.
Writing awards also featured strong competition, with Will Smith winning for Slow Horses, while Jack Rooke took the comedy writing award for Big Boys.
The ceremony was hosted by Maisie Adam, setting the stage for the main BAFTA Television Awards scheduled to take place on May 10.
