Police reports indicate that officers from the Chamblee Police Department detained the singer after security cameras at Tint World, an auto styling center, flagged a vehicle linked to an outstanding warrant.

When police arrived at the scene, they identified the driver as the Locked Up hitmaker. Authorities said Akon cooperated fully during the arrest and was released after spending about six hours in custody following his booking.

While officials have not confirmed the nature of the warrant, it was reportedly issued by the Roswell Police Department.

A few months earlier, Akon’s driver’s licence had been found suspended after his Tesla Cybertruck broke down in Roswell due to a dead battery, prompting police involvement at the time.

The 52-year-old musician has not commented on the latest arrest but has remained active on social media and is currently on tour in India.
