In a candid video shared on Instagram, Bashira Ansari revealed that certain individuals are misusing her photos and name to solicit money from unsuspecting people. She described these accounts as ‘nothing but deceit’ and urged her fans to exercise extreme caution.
‘Begging has now entered social media,’ she wrote in the video caption. ‘Fraudsters are creating fake IDs in my name to cheat people. Please do not follow them.’
According to Ansari, these fraudulent accounts employ emotional tactics, ranging from charitable appeals on specific days to claiming to help widows, the poor, and other vulnerable groups. Some even assert that they are running a charitable NGO under her supervision.
With a mix of disappointment and indignation, the actress emphasized that she has never asked anyone for money. ‘If I ever wish to help someone, I do it quietly,’ she said. ‘I have never collected donations nor requested any financial aid.’
Bashira Ansari expressed dismay at a society where unscrupulous individuals exploit the goodwill and reputation of public figures for personal gain. ‘It is truly shameful to use someone’s kindness and standing for selfish purposes,’ she stated.
She also informed her fans that all known fake accounts have been reported to social media platforms and urged the public to follow only her verified accounts. ‘Never respond to suspicious messages, financial requests, or unknown links,’ she advised firmly.
