Justice Shehram Sarwar Chaudhry approved his bail petition and directed him to furnish surety bonds amounting to Rs1 million. Ducky Bhai appeared before the court along with his legal team, Imran Raza Chadhar and Shehryar Goraya.
The YouTuber, who commands millions of followers, remained in custody of NCCIA officials after being arrested at Lahore Airport in mid August over allegations that he used his online platforms to advertise gambling apps. The charges against him fall under multiple sections of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016 as well as provisions of the Pakistan Penal Code.
Investigators stated that the case was formally initiated on June 13 following an inquiry that suggested several influencers were promoting gambling and betting platforms in return for financial gains. The FIR claims that numerous citizens invested their earnings in these applications and suffered significant monetary losses.
The FIR further alleged that Saad ur Rehman promoted several betting and gambling apps on his YouTube channel and even acted as a country manager for one such platform. Authorities listed twenty seven video links from his channel showing related promotional content.
Ducky Bhai’s earlier bail requests were dismissed by the District Courts and the Sessions Court, compelling him to approach the Lahore High Court. Earlier this month, the court issued notices to NCCIA, seeking detailed arguments from the authority.
In an unexpected development, nine NCCIA officers came under scrutiny in late October after accusations surfaced that they misused their authority and allegedly accepted bribes from Saad ur Rehman, heightening public debate on corruption and the transparency of the investigation.
