In a video shared on Instagram, the children addressed Ruffalo, saying, “Hello Mark! We are standing right in front of the drawings we made for you.”
The children said the artwork was not just an ordinary drawing but represented the heartbeat and voice of Gaza’s children, through which they wanted to make their voices heard around the world.
“We are sending these paintings to you from the beautiful children of Gaza. Thank you for standing with us. We hope you see our message,” they said.
The children explained that they had created the special artwork specifically for Ruffalo so that their voices could reach him despite the war, destruction and hardships surrounding them.
“This is not just a painting. Through art, we are trying to make our voices heard by people everywhere,” they said, urging people around the world to help deliver their message to the actor.
“Mark Ruffalo, we love you immensely. We are not numbers. We are still here,” the children said.
They described the painting as more than just a piece of artwork, saying it represents their existence, hope and determination to survive.
“Dear Mark, through the smoke and darkness, we see you. When the world chooses silence, you speak up for our humanity. Today, we wanted you to hear us back,” they said.
The children said they created the drawing with trembling hands while everything around them continued to fall apart.
“We want the innocent voices of Gaza’s children to reach your heart. We want to tell you that we are still alive, and we still have dreams,” they said.
Mark Ruffalo is widely known for portraying Bruce Banner/Hulk in Marvel films and has publicly spoken out on issues related to Gaza and the Palestinians.
