The actor also acknowledged that nepotism exists in the entertainment industry but said it can only take someone so far.

She also said the industry needs fresh faces, pointing out that some actors appear on television so frequently that audiences see them almost every day.

Ali's comments highlighted the role social media can play in introducing new talent and giving aspiring actors an alternative route into the entertainment industry.

During the same programme, Ali's Izzat co-star Atabik Mohsin also discussed the challenges faced by newcomers.

He said the entertainment industry had an accessibility problem, as people entering the field often did not know where to go for auditions or whom to contact.

Mohsin shared his own experience, saying he had no connections in the industry and initially struggled to find out how to approach casting opportunities.

However, he encouraged aspiring actors not to give up, saying there was enough room in the industry for people willing to keep trying.
