A high level 11 member Saudi delegation is arriving in Pakistan today, a move officials describe as a turning point. During earlier meetings, both countries appointed focal persons to keep coordination smooth and decisions timely.

From Pakistan’s side, DRAP Chief Executive Officer Dr. Ubaid was named as the focal person, while Saudi Arabia appointed senior advisor to the Ministry of Industry, Nizar Al Hariri.

Officials confirmed that Pakistan’s CEO has already held six meetings with the Saudi industrial advisor, showing steady engagement and serious intent on both sides.

Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal stated that the government is fully committed to local vaccine production. He added that the Saudi delegation’s visit could prove decisive in moving from planning to action. Local manufacturing, he said, will help meet national health needs and reduce dependence on imports.

The minister emphasized that ensuring the availability of safe, reliable, and high quality vaccines remains the government’s top priority, calling it a critical investment in public health and national resilience.
