The PMD stated that weather conditions in Lahore will remain dry and moderate on February 6 and 7. There is also no chance of rainfall on February 8, although some areas may experience partly cloudy skies.
During this period, light westerly and northwesterly winds are expected to blow at a speed of 10 to 15 kilometers per hour, which is considered favorable for kite flying.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has advised citizens to observe precautionary measures during Basant celebrations. Kite flyers have been particularly urged to avoid flying kites near electricity wires, open roads, and densely populated areas to prevent any untoward incidents.
The department further stated that weather conditions are being continuously monitored, and the public will be informed promptly in case of any significant changes.
