According to hospital officials, the medical board overseeing the student’s treatment has been expanded to ensure round-the-clock and specialized care.

The number of doctors has been increased from four to seven, reflecting the seriousness of the case and the need for close medical monitoring.

Head of Lahore General Hospital, Professor Farooq Afzal, stated that a professor of medicine has been added to the board, along with specialists in respiratory diseases and gynecology.

He confirmed that the student is being provided with the best possible medical facilities and remains under careful observation.

Meanwhile, police investigations have taken an important turn. Authorities have traced and detained a young man who was in contact with the student prior to the suicide attempt. Police officials believe this connection may be a key piece of the puzzle.

Investigators have expressed suspicion that the matter could be linked to a relationship and a possible issue of choice marriage. However, police emphasized that all aspects are being examined and further investigation is underway to establish the full facts.

The incident has once again raised concerns about mental health, emotional pressure, and the challenges faced by young students, highlighting the need for timely support, understanding, and counseling within educational institutions.
