According to the sources, security forces and law enforcement agencies are still pursuing terrorists in multiple areas, with reports indicating further militant casualties and losses.
They said the attacks carried out by Fitna al-Hindustan last night were successfully foiled due to timely and effective action by security forces and other law enforcement agencies.
Condemning the attacks, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi paid tribute to the security personnel for their bravery and sacrifice.
“I salute the brave sons who thwarted the evil intentions of the terrorists,” he said, while honouring the 10 martyrs who laid down their lives in the line of duty.
“The nation is proud of its brave sons, and the soldiers who sacrificed their lives are its heroes. The great sacrifices of the martyrs will always be remembered,” he added.
The latest development comes a day after 41 Indian-backed militants were killed in two separate intelligence-based operations in Balochistan.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), operations conducted on January 29 resulted in the killing of 30 India-sponsored terrorists on the outskirts of Harnai district, while 11 more were eliminated in Panjgur district.
The military’s media wing said weapons, ammunition, and looted cash from a bank robbery in Panjgur on December 15 last year were recovered from the slain militants.
The operations are taking place amid a rise in cross-border terrorism since the Taliban returned to power in Afghanistan in 2021.
Earlier, ISPR Director General Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry revealed that law enforcement agencies conducted 75,175 intelligence-based operations across Pakistan in 2025. Of these, 14,658 were carried out in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 58,778 in Balochistan, and 1,739 in other parts of the country.
He also said that 5,397 terrorism incidents were reported nationwide last year, including 3,811 in KP, 1,557 in Balochistan, and 29 in other regions.
According to the ISPR, 2,597 terrorists were killed in counterterrorism operations in 2025, with Afghan militants involved in all 10 major terror attacks recorded during the year, many of which deliberately targeted civilians and soft targets.
