In a statement, the military s media wing said security forces carried out multiple successful operations in and around Miranshah following intelligence reports regarding the presence of militant elements in the region.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said intense exchanges of fire led to the killing of several militants, including four key commanders identified as Khalid Raza alias Salar, Muftoon, Musa, and Imran alias Ayan.

According to the statement, the slain commanders were allegedly involved in numerous terrorist activities, including attacks on security personnel and civilians, and were among the most wanted individuals sought by law enforcement agencies.

Security forces also recovered a significant cache of weapons, ammunition and explosives during the operations, the military said.

The latest action forms part of Pakistan s broader counterterrorism campaign under the National Action Plan and the "Azm-e-Istehkam" strategy, which aims to dismantle militant networks and strengthen security across the country.

ISPR said clearance and sanitisation operations remain underway in the area to eliminate any remaining militant presence and ensure long-term stability.

Prime Minister Praises Security Forces

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the security forces for what he described as a successful operation against terrorism.

In a statement, the prime minister said the elimination of several militants, including four high-value commanders, reflected the effectiveness of ongoing counterterrorism efforts.

"Under the vision of Azm-e-Istehkam, our security forces are achieving significant successes against terrorism," he said.

Reaffirming the government s commitment to national security, the prime minister vowed that operations against militant groups would continue until terrorism is completely eradicated from the country.

The latest operations underscore Pakistan s continuing push to weaken militant networks in former tribal districts, where security forces have intensified intelligence-led actions in recent months.
