Speaking to officers and troops during a visit to Balochistan, the army chief said Pakistan’s “destined rise” could not be stopped through disinformation campaigns or foreign-backed militant activities.
According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations, the field marshal visited Quetta where he interacted with officers and faculty members at the Command and Staff College before meeting troops deployed in different formations across Balochistan.
During his address at the college, Munir praised the institution’s training standards, professionalism and intellectual environment, saying its graduates had consistently demonstrated excellence in military service.
Highlighting the changing nature of modern warfare, he stressed the need for the armed forces to adapt to emerging technologies, multi-domain operations, tri-services coordination and evolving battlefield challenges.
He urged officers to continuously improve their capabilities and ensure their troops remained fully prepared to respond effectively to future threats while maintaining the highest professional standards.
While reviewing the security situation in Balochistan, the army chief reaffirmed that Pakistan’s armed forces, backed by public support, remained fully committed to eliminating terrorism across the country.
He said forces attempting to destabilise Pakistan through proxies and propaganda would ultimately fail because of the resilience of the state and unity among the people.
Munir also emphasised that lasting peace and stability in Balochistan required a people-centric approach focused on inclusive development, stronger governance and socio-economic progress alongside security measures.
He appreciated the efforts of the Balochistan government aimed at public welfare and improving ties between the state and the people of the province.
The army chief further commended the morale, preparedness and professionalism of officers and soldiers serving in Balochistan for their role in maintaining peace, stability and the writ of the state.
Earlier, upon arriving in Quetta, Munir was received by the commander of Quetta Corps.
