Addressing a virtual congregation at the People s Secretariat Model Town, Cheema emphasized that if all 972 officials of Central Punjab work in unison, they can achieve ‘unparalleled results.’
The virtual meeting witnessed active participation from Deputy Information Secretary Ahsan Rizvi, along with Neelam Jabbar, Dr. Imran Rehmani, Rana Hanif, Yasir Ghuman, Akhtar Hussain, Syed Tanveer Bukhari, Javed Nadeem, Tsavur Bukhari, Alamgir Khan Niazi, Naseem Sabir, and Basharat Ali, Mudassar Shakir.
The agenda of the meeting spanned the evolving role of the Information Bureau, its coverage and significance in social media, and the nomination of deputy secretaries. Cheema lauded the newly elected Deputy Secretaries of Information across Divisions, Districts, and Tehsils, stating that under the guidance of Chairman Bilawal Bhutto, youth participation in the Information Bureau has been actively ensured.
Each Information Secretary will now have the authority to appoint three deputy secretaries dedicated to print, electronic, and social media, ensuring comprehensive coverage for every media channel. Moving forward, the Information Bureau meetings will be conducted monthly, solidifying a culture of regular engagement. Cheema also underscored the importance of cultivating a habit of retweeting leadership posts on social media.
Highlighting the importance of coordination and skill development, Deputy Secretary Information Nayab Jan stressed the need to strengthen teamwork within the bureau and recommended training programs to enhance the capacity of new officials.
Similarly, Ahsan Rizvi suggested forming a dedicated group of information secretaries to keep social media posts about the party leadership timely and relevant. Faiza Malik emphasized the urgency of accelerating the implementation of nomination recommendations.
The meeting also provided a platform for participants to share innovative suggestions to further enhance the bureau’s efficiency. At the conclusion of the session, Cheema accepted invitations to visit all districts post Eid, signaling an intent to maintain close engagement with field-level secretaries.
In a solemn close, Fateha Khawani was offered for the martyrs of the Bhakkar suicide blast and Javed Hashmi’s brother in law, reflecting the party’s commitment to remembering sacrifices alongside strategic planning.
