During his visit, he met troops and extended Eid greetings, praising their dedication, high morale and professionalism in protecting the country.

He appreciated the courage and commitment shown by forces during Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq, carried out to eliminate terrorist networks and ensure peace in border areas.

Field Marshal Asim Munir stressed that terrorists using sanctuaries across the border in Afghanistan would not be allowed to threaten Pakistan’s security. He reiterated that Afghan soil must not be used by hostile elements for activities against Pakistan, while reaffirming the country’s commitment to regional peace and stability.

He credited recent operational successes to the sacrifices of martyrs and the determination of officers and soldiers working for national security.

The army chief expressed pride in the troops and reaffirmed the armed forces’ commitment to defending Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He was received by the Corps Commander Peshawar upon arrival.
