According to Reuters, Luce an Italian word meaning ‘light’ is Ferrari’s first all electric sports car. During its early development phase, the car was known internally as Elettrica, but Ferrari has now settled on a name that reflects clarity, innovation, and forward motion.

Ferrari shared detailed images of Luce’s interior, which blends luxury with a strong sporting character. The cabin features sleek leather bucket seats designed to offer both comfort and performance. The overall layout feels focused and purposeful, putting the driver at the center of the experience.

In a move that many enthusiasts will welcome, Ferrari has chosen physical buttons and toggle switches over heavy reliance on touchscreens. The touchscreen plays a supporting role, while hands-on controls take priority making the driving experience more intuitive and engaging.

The steering wheel is fitted with aluminum switches set into glass pods, allowing the driver to manage driving modes and key functions with ease. The instrument panel uses layered OLED displays, delivering clear, sharp information without distraction.

A standout detail is the center console, which includes a classic style clock. This clock can switch functions using traditional needles, adding a touch of heritage to an otherwise futuristic design. The glass gear selector moves smoothly within its frame, reinforcing the car’s refined feel.

Even the key adds a sense of drama. When placed in the console, it changes color an elegant detail that highlights Ferrari’s attention to emotion as well as engineering.

Ferrari developed Luce’s design over five years in collaboration with LoveFrom, the creative firm founded by Jony Ive and Marc Newson, best known for shaping the iconic look of Apple products.

Under the skin, Luce is powered by four electric motors one for each wheel producing over 1,000 horsepower. The car can accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour in under 2.5 seconds, placing it firmly in supercar territory.

Ferrari also revealed that Luce will feature a unique sound system designed to amplify the natural vibrations of the electric motors. The company stressed that there will be no fake engine noise, aiming instead to deliver what it calls a ‘true electric Ferrari’ experience.

The use of glass and aluminum throughout the car gives it a modern, lightweight, and luxurious presence. Ferrari confirmed that the full exterior design of Luce will be revealed in May.

With Luce, Ferrari is not only embracing electric power but also introducing a new design direction for the brand. Enthusiasts and car lovers have responded with excitement, and many believe Luce could set a new benchmark where performance, luxury, and electric technology meet.
